Our Story
We had tickets to fly to the UK; we were going to London, Italy and Paris. I would have proposed to her on the Eiffel Tower.
In November we got the news that she has AML (Acute Myeloid Leukaemia) - we had to cancel our flight tickets but it did not change the way I feel about her... I have fairy lights in her room, got a small Eiffel Tower and made a picnic basket full on French treats and told her I thought about the vows of a wedding... richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, for better or worst... hair or no hair, leukaemia or no leukaemia... nothing will change the way I feel about her... and I asked her to marry me.
She has been in hospital now for 80 days - she has bonemarrow failure from the chemo and in unable to generate her own whiteblood cells... the only cure will be a bonemarrow transplant.
We have sacrificed so much already - New Year, her birthday, Valentine's Day, the Cokefestival and now Easter... we just want a normal life - to do normal things like lie in the park looking at the clouds, walks on the beach and watch movies while holding each other.
Carey is my fiancee and we need funds urgently for a bonemarrow transplant search. From the initial search, 2 possible German donors have been indentified as strong matches.

Carey is the love of my life and we want to get married on the 28th February 2009. The venue is booked and I am just waiting for her to get out of here so that we can have a happy life together. She just wants to get on with her life and go back to her work at Pick 'n Pay, sit in the traffic and feel the sun on her face.
